In order to provide you and your loved ones with the best possible products, Hero Pet Beds uses Sunbrella acrylic fabric for our pet beds. This is due to Sunbrella's ability to help prevent the growth of mold and mildew as well as it's stain and fade resistant properties.
Rinsing Off Your Pet Bed
You can keep your Sunbrella pet beds looking new and delay the frequency of deep cleaning by simply hosing the fabrics off with water on a regular basis. This will help prevent dirt from embedding deeply into the fabric and eliminate the need for more frequent deep cleanings.
Keeping Your Pet Beds Clean
When a thorough cleaning is required, we recommend washing with "mild" natural soaps like Ivory Snow or Woolite over standard laundry detergents. Remember after hosing down the fabric to allow the fabric to air dry.
Drying Your Pet Bed Cover
Sunbrella fabrics are woven and therefore they are also highly breathable and dry quickly by simply laying out and exposing to air.
DO NOT machine dry your fabric cover as this may lead to permanent warping of the material.
Treating Your Pet Bed Cover
Sunbrella fabrics are treated with a flurocarbon protective coating which greatly enhances water repellency. After several cleanings you will need to re-treat the fabric with a water repellent protectant. We recommend using 303 High Tech Fabric Guard
